Education and Libraries - 1,084 Book were donated to the Bridge of Books Foundation

The DSVAP group decorated a Christmas tree at Lacey United Methodist Church. The Winter Wonderland Tree Lighting Ceremony includes Christmas music, hot chocolate and cookies to get participants into the holiday spirit.

Our group met to fill 10 knitted Christmas stockings for the clients of Providence House. Each stocking held the following items: hand lotion, ChapSticks, nail polish and nail files, toothbrush and floss, activity book, snacks, tissues, wipes, earrings, candles, cookies, chocolates, etc. We also filled three baskets with Thanksgiving items to raffle off for our Special Education fund. For the month of October, the WCL teamed up with "One Warm Coat" and held a coat drive at our General Meeting,    Activity Day, Retro Fitness, Lacey Recreation and our local adult community of Pheasant Run.   

153 coats were picked up by "Your Grandmother's Cupboard" another non-profit organization and were distributed to those in need as a gift of warmth.
