I was contacted by a former WCOL president Patricia Pasquale who is working with SIFH Global to collect socks for Ukranian soldiers once again. Last year we did this in partnership with the Methodist church. I was amazed when she sent me a photo of a Ukrainian medic opening a box of socks from the Woman’s Club. On Sunday, November 19 Rose Contraras from Emmanuel Cancer invited myself, Marianne Ras and Justine Weinberg to help out at their holiday party. I never expected that this party would be such a great event. There was about 200 people there some were clients with their families others were volunteers from other Woman's clubs from New Jersey. Santa made an appearance, as well as characters from Disney. A DJ was playing holiday music. Boxes of holiday gifts went home with the children. They were delighted to have the chance to pick out their gifts Food was served. Everyone was in a holiday mood. So glad we went.
